Sheffield Wednesday boss Dave Jones hailed his team's effort as they made it four wins in a row with a 3-0 victory at home to Oldham on Monday.

Gary Madine scored in the first half at Hillsborough before Miguel Llera and Ryan Lowe made the winning margin more comfortable after the break. Jones, whose side moved up to second in League One, said: "Coming off a hard-fought win it feels fantastic. "We had two games in three days and it showed, we were tired but found an extra bit of something and I have nothing but admiration for the players. "They deserve a slap on the back. "Winning helps our cause with the feelgood factor, not just in football but in life. We have a great attitude in our dressing room. It wasn't the prettiest performance you'll ever see but it was a real effort from start to finish."
