Defender Jordan Willis has signed a new deal at Coventry until June 2018.

The 21-year old's previous deal was set to expire at the end of this season, and although he has been sidelined by an ankle injury for the majority of the 2015-16 campaign, boss Tony Mowbray was eager to extend his stay at the Ricoh Arena.

Willis made 40 appearances for the Sky Blues last season, and Mowbray told the club's official website: "We're delighted to get Jordan tied down to a longer deal at the club.

"Since I walked in the door at the back end of last season, I've been really impressed with the qualities and attributes Jordan possesses.

"He has fantastic physical attributes, strength and speed, and he is at an age where I believe he can continue to develop in the right environment at the club.
