Bury have confirmed the signings of free agents Niall Maher, Zeli Ismail and Ben Williams.

Full-back Maher has agreed a 12-month deal after he was released by Bolton at the end of last season and midfielder Ismail, previously with Wolves, has signed a two-year contract.

Maher, 20, made five appearances for the Trotters and played 10 matches while on loan with Blackpool during the 2014/15 season.

Ismail, 22, has represented England at Under-16 and 17 levels and had spells on loan with MK Dons, Burton, Notts County, Oxford and Cambridge.

Goalkeeper Williams rejected a new contract from the Bantams in order to make the move to Bury on a two-year deal.

During his time at Valley Parade, he made 78 appearances for the club since joining from Scottish side Hibernian in 2014, breaking a club record of 25 clean sheets last season.
