Chesterfield defender Charlie Raglan has extended his loan spell with Sky Bet League One rivals Oxford until the end of the season.

The centre-half has made 10 appearances for the U's since joining the club in September and will be eligible for FA Cup games, putting him in contention to face Rotherham on Saturday.

"We are very pleased to have got everything sorted nice and quickly and having Charlie available for the cup is a bonus," Oxford head coach Michael Appleton told the club's official website.

"He has done well for us, fits in well and means we have real competition for the defensive positions in the second half of the season."

Raglan added: "I have enjoyed my time here. It's a good club, the players, management and fans have been great with me and I'm more than happy to stay, fight for my place and play a part in what I'm sure is going to continue to be a very exciting season."
