Bradford have made their fourth signing of transfer deadline day after bringing in Aston Villa centre-back Kevin Toner on loan.

The 20-year-old, who made four Premier League appearances for Villa last season before spending the first half of this campaign on loan at Walsall, has joined the Bantams on a deal until the end of the season.

His arrival follows hot on the heels of fellow defenders Matthew Penney and Jacob Hanson and striker Charlie Wyke, who all completed moves to Sky Bet League One promotion hopefuls Bradford on Tuesday.

Wyke has joined on a permanent deal from Carlisle for an undisclosed fee. The 24-year-old had a prolific start to the season in League Two, netting 18 times.

Penney, meanwhile, arrives on loan from Sheffield Wednesday while Hanson, who is also a full-back, has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal after joining from Huddersfield for an undisclosed fee.

Head of recruitment Greg Abbott said: "Jacob is a very versatile defender - he can play in a number of positions - while Matt will offer us cover at left-back.
