Bolton ended Fleetwood's 18-game unbeaten run in Sky Bet League One and gained a vital advantage in the race for automatic promotion thanks to a 4-2 victory at Highbury.
Adam Le Fondre and David Wheater put Bolton in control but Kyle Dempsey pulled a goal back for the hosts. Mark Beevers and Le Fondre's second of the afternoon restored Bolton's two-goal cushion before Bobby Grant reduced the deficit again.
