Millwall youngster Marvin Williams says breaking into the first team has left him in dreamland.Millwall youngster Marvin Williams says he is in dreamland after making his full senior debut in the FA Cup against Everton.
Williams scored Millwall's goal in their 1-1 draw with The Toffees to force a third round replay at Goodison Park on Wednesday.
The midfielder admitted his progression at The Den has been swift but that he is gaining more confidence as time goes on.
"I'm still dreaming, to be fair," Williams told Sky Sports News.
"A few months ago, I was playing reserve football, but (former manager) Colin Lee showed faith in me and brought me into the first team.
"Obviously, you're going to be nervous coming up from the youth team to the reserves to the first team.
"It's a bit daunting but every time I train with them (first team), I get confidence and I feel comfortable around the team.
"Hopefully, it will show in my performances."
Should The Lions overcome Everton in the replay, they face the prospect of a London derby against Premiership champions Chelsea.
Williams believes the chance of playing The Blues in the fourth round will not distract his side from the task that awaits them on Merseyside.
"Having Chelsea in the next round is a great motivator for the team coming up against Everton," he added.
"We just want to concentrate on Everton right now, get past that, and then we'll have our laughs about Chelsea and all that.
"Right now, we're just concentrating on getting a victory on Wednesday."
