Andy Cooke and Neil Ashton have signed new deals with Shrewsbury Town.
Shrewsbury duo Andy Cooke and Neil Ashton have signed new deals with the League Two side.
Cooke, scorer of 12 goals last season, is understood to have been the target of Notts County and Darlington but has decided to pen a new deal at New Meadow.
Utility man Ashton has also accepted a new offer from boss Gary Peters, who is targeting another promotion push this season.
"With Neil I don't think there was any doubt that he wouldn't sign," Peters told the club's official website.
"Cookey has also decided to stay at the club and that's great news for everybody.
"With Neil you've got a three-in-one player as he plays left-back, he can also play left-midfield and he can play centre-midfield."
