Swansea boss Roberto Martinez has played down talk Lee Trundle could leave.Swansea boss Roberto Martinez has played down talk Lee Trundle could be joining Bristol City this summer.
The newly-promoted Robins are believed to have tabled a bid in excess of £750,000 for the free-scoring 30-year-old.
However, despite bolstering his strike-force this summer, the Spanish tactician has no plans to part with fans' favourite trundle.
"Am I concerned? Of course not, I am happy," he told skysports.com. "It makes me proud to have other sides having a look.
"Any manager wants to have his players the subject of transfer speculation because it means they and the club are attracting attention for the way they perform.
"Just because we sign strikers doesn't mean that we're prepared to let Trundle go. We're aiming at two players for every position. We want him in our side."
Meanwhile, trialist Ibrahima Thiam did his chances no harm with a goal in Friday's 3-0 win over Llanelli.
The 25-year-old Senegalese striker linked up with The Swans earlier this week and also played in Wednesday's win over Neath.
"Ibrahima was recommended to us by our Belgian scout," Martinez told the club's official website.
"He's currently out of contract in Belgium and we'll have a good look at him."
