Defender sidelined with broken foot

Bristol Rovers defender Byron Anthony has been ruled out for three months. The Welsh stopper broke a bone in his foot during the Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Bournemouth. "Byron has broken his fifth metatarsal," said Pirates coach Paul Trollope.

"Doctors have said he will be out for between eight to 12 weeks - and it may be on the longer side of that period, which is not good news. "It's a blow for us because Byron has done well and has been in good form."
