Veteran goalkeeper Mark Crossley has revealed he turned down an offer from Norwich to sign a new deal at Oldham.
Crossley has inked a new one-year deal to extend his stay at Boundary Park after joining on a free transfer from Fulham last summer.
The former Nottingham Forest star will remain involved in Oldham's coaching set-up and will oversee the development of the League One outfit's young goalkeepers next season.
"I'm very pleased to have extended my contract, and I wouldn't have done so if I didn't want to stay," Crossley told the club's
official website.
"I had the opportunity to go to Norwich as goalkeeping coach, and they also approached me midway through last season.

"But I'm very happy at Oldham and I want to keep on playing as long as I can."
Meanwhile, Oldham boss John Sheridan has informed Jean Paul Kalala he is free to leave the club at the end of the season.
Kalala, who has one-year remaining on his contract, will be allowed to leave for nothing if a club comes in for him.
Young duo Ashley Kelly and Michael Pearson have also been told their contracts will not be renewed at the end of the season.
The midfield duo's contracts expire in the summer and they will now be looking for new clubs.
