Veteran Cheltenham defender Jerry Gill has signed a new one-year contract at Whaddon Road.
The 37-year-old full-back made 46 appearances last season as the Robins secured their League One status and has been rewarded with a new deal.
Manager Keith Downing feels the former Birmingham and Northampton defender has proved he can still be a valuable asset to the club.
"Jerry's form has been impressively consistent over the past few seasons, he has maintained excellent fitness levels and will once again be a very valuable player for us next season," he told the club's
official website.
"He is a very good professional who is always on the training field. That is why his career has lasted as long as it has.
"Jerry is a very good influence on the dressing room as well and I'm delighted that he will be staying with us."
Brown deal
Goalkeeper Scott Brown has also agreed a new two-year deal at Cheltenham.
Brown has largely been understudy to Shane Higgs since joining the club in 2004 but he is expected to put pen-to-paper on a contract early next week.
"Scott has provided excellent support for Shane Higgs but more importantly we will be looking for him to kick on again next season," said Downing.
"We will be looking for Scott to put more pressure on Shane and he has already proved in the games he has played that he is more than capable of stepping into the first team.
"Scott did not have many chances in the first team last season but he came in for some very important games the season before and performed very well."
