Darren Currie is convinced he has made the right choice in joining Chesterfield ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion.
The experienced midfielder has officially finalised his move to Saltergate and links up with Chesterfield from Luton Town.
However, prior to accepting a three-year deal with the Spireites, Currie had agreed personal terms to rejoin Brighton.
The situation prompted Brighton boss Micky Adams to claim that the 33-year-old had used the League One club as 'a tool'.
Currie, though, is happy with his decision and admits he was sold on Chesterfield by manager Lee Richardson.
He said: "Chesterfield manager Lee Richardson really sold the club to me and convinced me that this is the right place to be playing my football and it is the right move for me."
