Mark Bunn is not ruling out leaving Northampton Town when his contract expires in 12 months' time.
The highly-rated goalkeeper is discussing a new deal at Sixfields and is happy to stay with the Cobblers for the coming season.
However, if the 23-year-old fails to agree an extension, then he would be entitled to leave the League One club for nothing next summer.
Bunn told the Chronicle and Echo: "I'm still very happy here. As long as I'm at Northampton I will continue to do my very best for the club.
Wait and see
"It's down to me and the gaffer at the moment. I don't want to say too much, but we're dealing with it and we'll see what happens this year.
"I've been here for six years and I've had a great time with Northampton. They gave me my chance and I've paid them back.
"Hopefully I can have another good year and we can just take it from there. I'm happy to stay for one more season and, who knows, maybe more. We'll wait and see."
Nottingham Forest have previously been linked with a bid for Bunn, who also trained with Manchester City towards the end of last season.
