Latics rally to tame Lions

Oldham went a goal down after just 15 seconds but twice came from behind to snatch a 4-3 home victory over Millwall in a seven-goal thriller. Tresor Kandol, on loan from Leeds, made a dream start to his Millwall debut when he headed home Alan Dunne's cross from eight yards. But Oldham were back in the contest in the third minute when veteran Andy Liddell cleverly chested in Kevin Maher's free-kick with keeper David Forde unsighted. The home side went behind again in the 14th minute after defender Reuben Hazell headed into his own net and Millwall increased their lead in the 56th minute through Lewis Grabban's header. Oldham pulled a goal back in the 74th minute when Liddell made no mistake from the penalty spot after defender Paul Robinson was red-carded for bringing down Lee Hughes. Hughes set up Lewis Alessandra for a close-range leveller in the 80th minute and the visitors were left shell-shocked after Chris Taylor curled in the winner from the edge of the box.
