Peterborough United striker Aaron McLean has been ruled out for six weeks with a dislocated elbow.
McLean suffered the injury during Saturday's thrilling 5-4 win over Bristol Rovers and was stretchered off in the first half after earlier putting Posh 2-0 up.
He will now be sidelined until the end of October, although McLean is hoping to return to action ahead of schedule.
"I am a terrible watcher, but I am going to be like a Peterborough supporter in the next few weeks and I am sure the lads can do the business in my absence," McLean told the club's official website.
"I am feeling okay, my arm will be in plaster for three weeks and then I can start doing a bit of work, but it is likely that I will be out for about six weeks, although I am obviously hoping to be back sooner.
"I am obviously very disappointed and frustrated, but that's football. It is really sore at the minute and I can't really do anything.
"It is the worst feeling being injured, I have broken my foot and done serious damage to my knee before, but this injury was the most painful."
