Bristol Rovers manager Paul Trollope has reiterated his desire to keep top scorer Rickie Lambert at the club.
The 27-year-old is attracting attention after scoring 28 goals for the Pirates in League One this term.
The club rebuffed interest during the January transfer window and Trollope wants Lambert to stay to fire his side up the league.
He told skysports.com: "There was interest at the start of the year, and of course we'll be expecting more of the same over the summer months, but it hasn't affected Rickie and he has kept scoring goals.
"But it's not only his goals that he has in his make-up - he is a key element to our tactics and how we play the game.
"His fitness has improved since he joined the club and he's a top League One player. I'm very pleased with him."
While Trollope concedes a "realistic offer" for the player will be seriously considered by the club, he hopes this does not happen.
"Time will tell if firm bids come in, but we're not a selling club; although every player does have his price," he said.
"If a realistic offer comes in, then we will have a talk at the club. But I would definitely like him to stay as it would give us a chance of progressing as we would like to.
"We want to continue to do that next season and break into the top 10. Hopefully we could have a realistic shot at the play-offs.
"But in order to do that, we need to keep together all of our top performers."
