Clark confirms striker has attracted interest

Huddersfield Town boss Lee Clark has confirmed Cheltenham Town have made an enquiry for Tom Denton. The teenage striker joined the Terriers from Wakefield last summer, but has yet to make his debut for the League One club. He spent a spell on loan at Woking last term and has now attracted interest from League Two outfit Cheltenham. Clark confirmed the Robins' interest and is waiting to see if his opposite number Martin Allen follows up with an offer. "There's been an enquiry from Cheltenham, but at this stage, that's the extent of it," Clark told the Huddersfield Examiner. However, Cheltenham's double signing of Barry Hayles and Julian Alsop could lead to Allen shelving plans of a loan move for Denton.
