Jo Kuffour has signed a one-year contract extension to keep him at Bristol Rovers until 2012.
The striker moved to the Memorial Stadium from Bournemouth in the summer of 2008 and enjoyed a successful first season with the club.
He scored 11 goals last term and has started the new campaign well enough to earn a new deal.
Manager Paul Trollope is delighted to secure the services of a player who is regarded as one of the best in the division.
"This is a big boost for us," Trollope told the club's official website.
"I think Jo has really developed over that last year. He is looking like a top League One striker."
