MK Dons captain Dean Lewington has been hit with a two-match suspension after pleading guilty to a Football Association charge.
Lewington was charged with the use of abusive and/or insulting language following an incident during the 1-0 defeat by Leeds on September 26.
The left-back, who was also fined £500, will miss the Johnstone's Paint Trophy area quarter-final against Northampton on November 10 as well as the trip to promotion rivals Charlton on November 14.
The club's longest-serving player has made 13 first-team appearances this season and will be free to return for Paul Ince's side against Southend United on Friday November 20.
