Stimson wants more support for Jackson

Gillingham boss Mark Stimson wants to add some extra firepower to his squad to help out top scorer Simeon Jackson. Jackson, who has been linked with a move away from Priestfield in January, has scored 11 of his side's 24 goals so far this term. However, the striker's partners have been significantly less successful in front of goal. Dennis Oli has failed to find the target in 13 matches, while Mark McCammon, who has been hampered by injury, is yet to score in 10 appearances. Stimson told the Kent Messenger: "It's hard to rely on Jackson all the time. It's not for the lack of trying. Dennis Oli does his best and gives everything. "We want someone else up there looking to be able to score a goal. "They are gold dust and they are the ones who cost the money and nobody wants to release."
