Dagenham manager John Still admits the club can not afford to sign Gillingham midfielder Adam Miller permanently

Midfielder's wages scupper permanent switch to Daggers

Dagenham & Redbridge manager John Still admits the club can not afford to sign Adam Miller permanently due to the Gillingham midfielder's wages. Miller has returned to Priestfield after the end of a successful two-month loan spell and Still has admitted that he is unable to keep him on a full-time basis. Still said: "Gillingham didn't want a fee for Adam, but his wages there are much higher than what we have here. "Adam has done wonderfully for us in his time at the club but, somewhat like Matt Lockwood before him, we just couldn't keep him." However, Still has confirmed that midfielder Danny Spiller has extended his contract at Dagenham until the end of the season. He added: "Danny has recovered from a hamstring injury that kept him out for half the time he's been at the club. "Now he's fit he's beginning to show the talent that he undoubtedly has."
