Paul Tisdale is confident he will not have to sell any key players in the summer as Exeter City look to keep hold of Scott Golbourne.
Full-back Golbourne is believed to be considering his options having delayed signing a new deal with the League One club for over six months.
Grecians boss Tisdale is not under pressure to raise funds at St James Park, but also admits he would not stop any players leaving for the right offer.
Tisdale told the Express & Echo: "If I get more money I will spend it wisely, but there's no need for me to sell.
"I don't want the players to miss out if it's a good offer for them and us. I can't control some things. I can't control some people's views of our players.
"I am not advertising our players and I never have done. I am not in the business of marketing our players to sell them on. But if someone makes an offer, they make an offer and we will have to make a decision based on that."
Regarding Golbourne's future, director of football Steve Perryman told the Western Morning News:"There is no news on Scott, but we are optimistic.
"Like everyone, he would like as much money as he can get and, of course, that's where we could possibly lose out to someone else. But we believe we are a very decent club at bringing players on and I think the lad knows he is well off here, football-wise.
"I don't know whether or not he is speaking to other clubs. He knows he's at a decent club so an even more decent club would have to come in for him to take him."
