Wilson: Prutton will improve

Danny Wilson has backed David Prutton to improve further as the season goes on after his display against Walsall.

The midfielder, a summer signing from Colchester, has been on the receiving end of some criticism from Town supporters having struggled somewhat in the opening games of the campaign. But Wilson insists he was right to keep the faith and believes Prutton is capable of performances like his one at the Banks's Stadium week in, week out. Asked about criticism aimed at the 29-year-old, Wilson said: "We don't react to things like that. We know these boys have quality. We know they can play and we don't hang people out to dry. "Prutton will get better and better in every game. "David did well in midfield and you have to put in a great shift away from home."
