Swindon Town manager Danny Wilson is still waiting to get the chance to assess David McNamee after the defender picked up an injury.
The right-back joined the Robins on trial earlier this month following his release by Plymouth last season, but has so far been unable to feature for the reserves.
However, Wilson told skysports.com that he is still keen to see what the 29-year-old can do once he returns to full fitness.
"We've not had a chance to have a proper look at him because he picked up an injury when he first came here and he is still recovering," said Wilson.
"We aren't sure how long he will be out for, but we will continue to monitor it and hopefully get a chance to see him in action once he is fully fit again."
After a slow opening to the season, the Robins have kick-started their campaign into life, making it three consecutive victories after an impressive 1-0 win over Huddersfield on Saturday.
The Robins lost to Millwall in the play-off final in May, but Wilson insists the sluggish start had nothing to do with that disappointment.
He added: "I don't think that there was a hangover from the play-off final at all.
"I think that it was the fact that we have got a new side in place here and it takes time to bed in the new players brought in over the summer.
"The hangover concept is an excuse that was probably used by a number of people, but I don't believe that it had any bearing on our start to the season."
