Gray: Carry on Saddlers

Walsall's Julian Gray is determined to see matters carry on where they left off at Charlton - on a personal and team level.

The Saddlers recorded a much-needed, if not surprise, 1-0 victory at Charlton last weekend, with the recalled Gray putting in an impressive shift on the left and providing the assist for Matt Richards' winner. And with another promotion hopeful up next at the Banks's Stadium in the form of Southampton, Gray is keen to continue where both he and his team-mates finished in east London. "We played really well as a team in the last game," he told the club's official website. "From a personal point of view, it was good to be back playing and I was delighted to contribute to what was a good three points. "Now we have to make sure we build on this and do the same to Southampton. They are another big club who have spent a lot and are up there challenging for promotion. "They did the double over us last season so we are determined to return the favour and continue where we left off last weekend."
