Goodison suffers injury blow

Tranmere have been dealt a blow after veteran defender Ian Goodison was ruled out for several weeks with a knee problem.

The Jamaica international sustained the injury during last weekend's 3-3 draw at home to Walsall. Rovers boss Les Parry has already lost defender Marlon Broomes to a calf injury this week. Parry said: "Once again the curse of the centre-half has hit us. "Ian Goodison is going to be out for a few weeks as he has torn his medial ligaments on his knee. "Marlon Broomes came back in on Monday and has torn a calf so he is out. So we've lost those two, and together with losing Max [Blanchard] and Tim [Cathalina] isn't going to do us any favours so we've just got to get on with it."
