Midfielder wants to push on following FA Cup defeat

Leyton Orient's experienced midfielder Matt Spring has called on his team-mates to reach the League One play-offs. Orient's FA Cup run came to an end on Wednesday when they were comfortably beaten by a professional Arsenal performance, with Nicklas Bendtner scoring a hat-trick in a 5-0 rout. However, Orient are currently just eight points off the top six in League ONe and Spring believes they need to carry on their impressive recent form, which has seen them taste defeat just once in their last 15 league games, for as long as possible. "Just one defeat in 22 games (in all competitions) was a great run, but if we could have changed a couple of those draws into wins then we would be right up there in the table," Spring told skysports.com.

Delighted

"We are delighted to have put together the run that we have though and it feels like a good time to have done it as well. "Obviously, no one is getting too carried away at the moment, but we are looking up now rather than down. "It is a good situation for everyone at the club and I don't think that they have been in that position for a long time. "We have shown that we are a hard side to beat in the past couple of months and if we can turn some of those draws into wins then we could have a great end to the season."
