Five players leave Oakwell following end of their contracts

Barnsley have confirmed five players have departed Oakwell after their contracts with the Tykes expired. Martin Devaney, Danny Fearnehough, Conor Branson, Steven Bennett and Matt Hill have all left the Championship outfit. Winger Devaney joined the South Yorkshire side from Watford in 2005 and notched up 153 appearances for the Tykes, scoring 18 goals. Hill arrived at Barnsley from Wolves last year after a successful loan spell at Oakwell. The 30-year-old full-back bagged two goals for the club during his 24-game stint, against Nottingham Forest and Leeds. Bennett, Branson and Fearnehough are all products of the Tykes' academy system.
