Skysports.com understands Bournemouth have lodged an improved offer for AFC Wimbledon's Steven Gregory.
The Cherries made their first move for the midfielder on Thursday, but saw that approach knocked back.
Wimbledon released a statement on Friday claiming that they now considered the matter to be 'closed'.
Bournemouth, though, are refusing to back down in their efforts to take Gregory to Dean Court.
They have upped their bid for the 24-year-old, who helped the Dons to promotion out of the Blue Square Premier last season.
The ball is now back in Wimbledon's court as they prepare for their debut campaign as a Football League club.
