Yeovil Town boss Terry Skiverton has confirmed an approach from Peterborough for out-of-contract captain Craig Alcock.

Alcock, 23, came through the youth ranks at Huish Park and has been offered a new deal by the League One club. Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson recently admitted the move may have stalled with the two parties unable to agree terms, but Skiverton has suggested it may be back on. Skiverton said: "Peterborough have come in, it's being dealt with by both chairmen and we're waiting to see what the outcome will be. I want to keep Craig, but one thing you can't do is stand in someone's way. "We've made an offer of a contract, spoken to the agent and everything is amicable. Whatever is best for Craig I will stand by 100%. "He's been a soldier out on that football pitch, he's gone through the pain barrier and I think he's one of the best full-backs in League One. I think he could easily cope with it in the Championship."
