Hunt boost for Huddersfield

Huddersfield's fears over the ankle injury sustained by defender Jack Hunt at the weekend have been allayed by scan results.

The 21-year-old right-back was stretchered off early in the second half during Saturday's home defeat to Bournemouth following a challenge with Charlie Daniels, but has an outside chance of recovering in time for Saturday's clash at Sheffield Wednesday. Manager Lee Clark told the club's official website: "Jack's X-rays came back clear over the weekend and upon assessment by the medical team on Monday it appears there's no ligament damage either. "The injury is just severe bruising around Jack's ankle and shin, so his recovery now depends on how quickly that goes down. "He stands an outside chance of being available for Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday, but he's likely to be sidelined for longer."
