Brentford have offered striker Gary Alexander a new contract as his current deal expires in the summer.
The 32-year-old has scored six goals for the Bees this season. Manager Uwe Rosler told the Hounslow Chronicle: "We have already been in contact with Gary and we've given him a contract proposal. "We've had some good positive dialogue with him and his agent, and he can go away over Christmas and new year and think about it." Richard Lee, Simon Moore and Leon Legge signed new deals earlier this season, while midfielder Sam Saunders is also in discussions with the club after being offered new terms.
