Defender Steve Tully insists that a spate of injuries in the early weeks of the season seriously affected Exeter's season.
However, the full-back believes that with a fully-fit squad now at manager Paul Tisdale's disposal, the Grecians can make a late rally and climb the League One ladder in the term's final stretch. A succession of knocks ruled the majority of Exeter's frontline out of the first three months of the campaign, and a poor run of form left the Devon club precariously close to the drop zone. But a sequence of just three defeats in their last 14 league outings has seen Tisdale's men pull away from danger, and with everyone now fit Tully is confident the Grecians will enjoy a positive second half of the season. "We did struggle for a bit this season with injuries," he said. "We didn't have a centre-forward for the first three months of the season and without a centre-forward you might struggle to score goals. "But we've got a fully-fit squad now and there's plenty of options there, and we should be able to push on and move up the table. No-one wants to be in the relegation zone and we are going to do everything we can to avoid being anywhere near it."
