Clark relieved to bag point

Huddersfield manager Lee Clark was relieved to leave Prenton Park with a point after a 1-1 draw against an inspired Tranmere.

Jordan Rhodes put Town ahead in Saturday's League One clash with his 29th goal of the season when he was set up by Danny Cadamarteri in the 47th minute before Adam McGurk headed the hosts level from a Martin Devaney cross two minutes later. "The plus point is we have not lost the game, which could easily have been the case," said Clark. "I am unhappy in general because I wanted to win. I saw it as an opportunity for us to get another three points, but we failed. "We got our noses in front but then gave away a really poor goal. We were certainly not great. We did not put them under enough pressure. We did not take control in the middle of the pitch where we are normally better. But having said that we had a lot to be happy about in our defending. "Some players did well individually but we did not play well together. We have got to attack the ball better and use it better. We are not satisfied with that performance. But I thought Danny Cadamarteri put in a tremendous shift for us." Clark was also unhappy over an injury picked up by substitute Alan Lee, who was forced off within 20 minutes of coming on, saying: "I will have to have a look at it - I do not think the referee protected us."
