MK Dons boss Karl Robinson hailed supersub Charlie MacDonald who netted a late winner in the 1-0 victory over Yeovil.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson hailed supersub Charlie MacDonald after the striker netted a late winner to seal a 1-0 win for his side end his 19-game goal drought. The 31-year-old raced clear to coolly slot the ball home 15 minutes from the end to sink the Glovers and maintain the Dons' 100% home record. Robinson said: "It was a great ball by Lewie [Dean Lewington] that put him in - it was important that when the ball went over that Charlie took it calmly, he didn't snatch at it. "I heard people getting anxious and shouting 'shoot, shoot, shoot' but he got it back on his strong side and finished it with tremendous aplomb. He's had tremendous confidence over the course of the season, he's not the type of person to lose confidence. "We passed them off the pitch and the officials kept them in it. There were three or four times when we were onside and we were in on goal but we were flagged offside. "I'm not being disrespectful to Yeovil but I felt it could have been many more on the day. We looked so comfortable and they never looked like they were going to get anything out of the game."
