Abbott rues Cumbrians away form

Carlisle boss Greg Abbott insisted his side deserved a share of the spoils after a spirited display in a 2-1 defeat at Brentford.

Brentford goalkeeper Simon Moore was the hero with a late penalty save to deny Joe Garner with 15 minutes remaining. Goals from Jonathan Douglas and Paul Hayes sealed the points, either side of a consolation from United hitman Garner. Abbott had only praise for loan striker Garner, saying: "I thought he was tremendous, holding the ball up against a very strong back four. "You know it's going to be a tough game at Brentford so when we got the penalty I thought it would give us the point the performance deserved, but I've got no complaint with Joe, who was outstanding." Abbott added: "If we play like that at home we will win all our games."
