Cherries: Thomas won't go easy

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell insists the future of striker Wes Thomas will be left in his manager's hands.

The 25-year-old, who spent a spell earlier this season on loan at Portsmouth, has been reunited with Michael Appleton at Blackpool on loan until New Year's Day. "He has gone on loan until January and there isn't anything else in place. When he comes back, it will be up to Eddie to decide what happens," Mitchell told the Bournemouth Daily Echo. "If anybody were to come in for him, I would have to sit down with Eddie to put a value on him and it would be for us to look at what would be feasible to let him go. We are not in the habit of buying players to just give them away. "If Blackpool or any other club were to want him, it would be up to them to come to us but there is no way we would let him go for nothing."
