I want more passion - Moore

Tranmere boss Ronnie Moore was livid after his side became the first this season to lose to Notts County after a 2-0 away defeat.

The Magpies climbed off bottom spot with victory over Tranmere with Joss Labadie slotting home against his former club early on before substitute Marcus Haber made the points safe with 12 minutes to go. Tranmere had few chances to shout about - Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro's 74th-minute header against the bar aside - and Moore was quick to put the boot into his side. He said: "The passion for the first 25 minutes wasn't good enough and how many times have I said that? "There were 11 lads out there wearing the shirt. Show a little bit of pride and passion! At least get in their faces and have a go! "They talk a good game, they talk about doing the right things, about chasing and closing down - but we can all do that. "We can't go out and play for them. We've put faith in them to have a bit of desire, give a bit of blood, a bit of sweat and a few tears along the way. "But it's down to personal desire and we can't make them have that. The leaders on the park should be pointing the finger and sorting it out. "We don't want to be where we are at the present time, but we have to man-up as a group, be mentally stronger and our decision-making has got to be better. "Our back four is making individual mistakes that are causing us problems and it cost us the game."
