Bad news for Williams

Image: Andy Williams: Out indefinitely

Swindon striker Andy Williams looks likely to miss the rest of the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.

Williams, who joined Yeovil on a season-long loan deal in August, sustained the injury in training with the Glovers and recently returned to the County Ground to be assessed. The Robins medical staff revealed that Williams requires an operation, and Yeovil manager Gary Johnson confirmed the forward would be out for the remainder of the campaign. He told the Western Gazette: "He's definitely out for the rest of the season and maybe longer. I hate that when I see a young footballer with that type of injury because it's quite a long haul to get back."
