David James - Bournemouth
Former England goalkeeper James was the only custodian to keep three successive clean sheets over the festive period as Bournemouth claimed 3-0 wins over Yeovil and Crawley and shared the spoils in a goalless draw at Brentford. The 42-year-old made a particularly impressive block against Crawley when he denied substitute Billy Clarke.
Simon Francis - Bournemouth
Francis is another Cherries player who gets a nod for his hand in their three clean sheets. The right-back helped keep things tight at the back throughout the festive run while also contributing an assist as his long ball was poked home by Eunan O'Kane for Bournemouth's second against Crawley.
Rob Jones - Doncaster
Rovers claimed two wins and a draw from their festive run to stay firmly in the promotion chase and influential captain Jones played a key role in those results, scoring the opener at Oldham and holding things steady at the back against Preston as the Deepdale club were kept at bay.
Harlee Dean - Brentford
The Bees are another side enjoying a run of form and Dean was a solid presence in defence as they kept clean sheets in goalless draws against Shrewsbury and Bournemouth, while the centre-half also popped up with a late goal as they triumphed at Colchester.
Zoumana Bakayogo - Tranmere
Three straight wins have seen Tranmere reclaim top spot in the table and Bakayogo played a key role in their revival, helping them to clean sheets in the successes over Scunthorpe and Bury. He also won a penalty for Rovers at Gigg Lane but Andy Robinson's effort was saved by keeper Trevor Carson.
Nicky Adams - Crawley
Adams was instrumental as the Red Devils piled more woe on beleaguered Portsmouth, firing in the cross that set up Billy Clarke's winner. He then contributed a goal to their comfortable 3-0 win over Colchester on New Year's Day, producing a clever chip from 18 yards in the dying minutes.
Dave Syers - Doncaster
Three goals from as many games is not a bad return - particularly for a central midfielder - and Rovers man Syers will be pleased with his festive haul. He was on target in the wins at Oldham and Preston and stretched Doncaster's lead before they were pegged to a 2-2 draw at home to Sheffield United.
Andy Robinson - Tranmere
Captain Robinson was at the heart of the Tranmere side that claimed three straight wins and went from villain to hero in their New Year's Day victory at Bury, missing a penalty just before half-time but atoning for that setback early in the second half when he made no mistake from 12 yards.
James Collins - Swindon
Collins was only involved in one game over the festive run as Swindon saw two encounters postponed, but the 22-year-old made his appearance off the bench count on New Year's Day, scoring a whopping four goals as the Robins thumped Portsmouth 5-0.
Paddy Madden - Yeovil
Yeovil recovered from a Boxing Day defeat at Bournemouth with back-to-back wins and Madden was influential to their triumph at home to Leyton Orient as he grabbed a double, breaking the deadlock just before half-time then adding another when he pounced on Ben Chorley's back-pass.
Will Grigg - Walsall
Grigg scored either side of the break for the Saddlers as they came from behind to overturn MK Dons 4-2 on their own turf, curling in his opener before tapping home Craig Westcarr's cross for his second. The Northern Ireland international also looked lively as Walsall claimed another welcome win over Stevenage.
