Ben Garrett - Crewe
England Under-19s international Garrett was making his senior debut for Crewe in the clash at home to Walsall and the youngster did not disappoint, marking his bow with a clean sheet after helping Alexandra to a win to round off their season. The 20-year-old, stepping in between the sticks in place of rested No.1 Steve Phillips, was in action early on to deny Nicky Featherstone from the edge of the box and built from there to contribute a solid display.
John White - Colchester
Colchester will be playing League One football again next season after avoiding the drop on the final day with a 2-0 win at Carlisle and White formed part of the backline which kept the hosts at bay as they secured the vital win, while also helping them to a clean sheet. The 26-year-old kept things tight down the right as Gavin Massey and Tom Eastman provided the goals that sealed the all-important three points for the visitors.
Connor Goldson - Shrewsbury
Shrewsbury ended their season with a win as they saw off relegated Portsmouth in a 3-2 home success and Goldson laid the foundations for that win, popping up with an early opener. The 20-year-old defender rose highest to power home a header in just the sixth minute, marking his first Football League goal and paving the way for the Shrews to claim a heartening home win to put their season to bed.
Harry Davis - Crewe
Another Crewe man to make the cut is defender Davis, who also played a key role in Alexandra's win and clean sheet against Walsall. Youngster Davis cut an assured figure at the back, contributing a solid defensive display. The 21-year-old made a crucial intervention in the first half, blocking a strike from Will Grigg after an error by fellow defender George Ray, allowing the home side to keep their clean sheet intact and go on to record the win.
Shaun Williams - MK Dons
Williams was voted MK Dons' Player of the Year this season and he lived up to that gong in the 2-0 victory at Stevenage as the visitors signed off their season on a positive note. The defender, playing out of position at left-back, held things steady on his flank while also providing some momentum going forward and crowned his display by setting up the opening goal for Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford with a well-placed cross in the 33rd minute.
James Coppinger - Doncaster
Doncaster secured their place as champions and promotion to the Championship in dramatic style at Brentford and Coppinger played a starring role in the breathtaking win. The Bees, also in contention for automatic promotion, had the chance to clinch it at the death when they were awarded a penalty but Marcello Trotta missed it. Coppinger then popped up with a last-gasp winner to hand the trophy to Doncaster and leave Brentford facing a stint in the play-offs.
Harry Arter - Bournemouth
Doncaster's dramatic victory meant Bournemouth had to settle for second place after they could only draw at Tranmere, but Arter was a star performer in that goalless affair. The midfielder put in a hard-working display at both ends of the pitch and was at the heart of the majority of the Cherries' attacking moves. He was unlucky that his surging runs from midfield weren't finished off with goals and came close with a number of chances.
Kirk Millar - Oldham
Millar prevented Oldham from ending their season on a defeat after salvaging a share of the spoils in a 1-1 draw at Leyton Orient with the crucial equaliser. The O's had taken the lead in the opening half through Jimmy Smith but Millar came back straight after the break with Oldham's equaliser, applying the finishing touch after a Cristiano Montano cross wasn't properly dealt with - marking the 20-year-old Northern Irishman's first senior goal for the club.
Jamie Proctor - Crawley
Proctor helped Crawley take something from their final game of the season against relegated Hartlepool as he scored a handy double in the 2-2 draw. Proctor opened the scoring 20 minutes from time only for Andy Monkhouse to score two and put the visitors in front. But the 21-year-old was back again at the death as he applied a close-range finish to snatch a point and pile more woe on the doomed Pools.
Jonson Clarke-Harris - Bury
Another player to score a brace at the weekend was Bury youngster Clarke-Harris as he hit two to help fire the already-relegated Shakers past Yeovil with a 3-2 home win, shocking the play-off contenders. The 18-year-old frontman - on loan from Peterborough - shot through a crowded penalty area to hand the hosts an early lead, then added a second in the 25th minute with a well-taken free-kick, with Nicky Ajose adding Bury's third to seal the win.
Gavin Massey - Colchester
Massey played a crucial role in Colchester's great escape as they sidestepped relegation to League Two with victory at Carlisle. The 20-year-old forward's looping header in the 65th minute put the U's on course for the vital victory, which they were able to see out when Tom Eastman netted 10 minutes from time. Massey, whose strike marked his sixth this season, described helping Colchester survive the drop as an "unbelievable feeling".
