Thompson joins Harriers

Kidderminster Harriers have signed former Boston United midfielder Lee Thompson.

Conference club Kidderminster Harriers have signed former Boston United midfielder Lee Thompson.

Thompson (pictured) joins the Aggborough club after failing to concur on a new deal with Boston United, having recently trained with Cambridge United.

He was linked with League Two club Notts County, but has agreed to sign a one-year deal with The Pilgrims.

He joins former Nottingham Forest defender Gavin Hurran in moving to Worcestershire-based club following his departure from The City Ground.

Hurran recently had a trial with Shrewsbury Town before deciding to drop out of The Football League by signing for The Harriers.

They have been followed by youngsters Russ Penn and Jermain Hollis, who have signed one-year contracts.

Penn is a former Birmingham City and Scunthorpe United trainee, who has impressed Kidderminster boss Stuart Watkiss this pre-season.

Hollis debuted in the first team late last season and has also earned a 12-month deal with the club.
