Double boost for Iron

Scunthorpe have been handed a boost with two players signing new deals.

Scunthorpe United have been handed a double boost with the news of two influential players signing new deals.

Andy Crosby and Neil MacKenzie have both put pen-to-paper on fresh terms to commit themselves to the club for the foreseeable future.

Club captain Crosby has skippered the Glanford Park outfit for the past two seasons and has now signed a one-year deal, with the club retaining the option for a further year.

Midfielder McKenzie has also signed on for another 12 months, despite the fact he saw last season curtailed though ligament damage.

Despite making just 14 appearances throughout the whole of the campaign, manager Brian Laws obviously saw enough to secure his services for another term.
