Nigel Adkins insists the chairman will decide when to sell Billy Sharp and Andy Keogh.
Scunthorpe manager Nigel Adkins insists chairman Steve Wharton will decide when the club sell strikers Billy Sharp and Andy Keogh.
The League One high-flyers are bracing themselves for a series of offers for the two young forwards during the January transfer window, but Adkins wants them both to stay and help his side gain promotion to the Championship.
"I know there is going to be massive speculation about these two, probably throughout most of January," Adkins told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.
"There is nothing we can do to stop that. We have just got to get on with it, and deal with it.
"A couple of managers have spoken to me about the youngsters - but no-one has made an offer and at the end of the day that is the side of the business that will be handled by the chairman.
"He has already stated that he does not want to sell anyone. He will do everything in his power to keep Billy and Andy at this football club for the rest of this season. But we also have to recognise that this is a business."
