Manager Alan Knill admitted Scunthorpe's second-half performance against Tranmere in League One on Tuesday was a cause for concern.
The Iron went into half-time in front courtesy of Karl Hawley's header, but two goals in three minutes midway through the second half from James Wallace and Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro turned the game around, before the latter struck again in the closing stages to give the league leaders a 3-1 victory at Glanford Park. The defeat pushed Scunthorpe back into the bottom four, and Knill said: "I thought we were excellent in the first half, but the second half was worrying. "We can't seem to keep the ball out of the back of our net at the moment and when that is happening it is always going to be difficult. "Credit to Tranmere, they played better in the second half but we conceded two poor goals from set-pieces when players did not do the jobs we ask them to do. "We thought we were making progress, but this result is a setback. It's frustrating but all we can do is work harder to turn things round."
