The promising 20-year-old has attracted the interest of clubs in both England and Scotland, with Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen failing with their bids to lure Miller to Pittodrie, when the hit-man submitted a transfer request for a move to England.
The Bairns' board is expected to meet on Monday to discuss the Ashton Gate club's bid for Miller, believed to be around £300,000.
Miller has had time to ponder what his next move would be during Falkirk's pre-season trip to Czech Republic.
He has now decided to make the trip south and talk with Danny Wilson's side at the weekend, though Christie warned that a deal is nowhere close to being completed as yet for the young striker.
"When Lee put in his transfer request, he stated it was so he could pursue a career in England," said Christie.
"That has the implication that the player himself is not disposed to going to Aberdeen.
"Lee will be going to Bristol to have a look around on Sunday and Monday and it would seem that is his preferred option.
"We are just back from the Czech Republic and clearly we have to give some thought to the matter.
"The board will meet on Monday to consider the various implications of Lee's transfer request, including the offer from Bristol City.
"But it is premature to say that the deal is near completion."
Meanwhile, the Brockville club have had former Derby County youth midfielder Tonton Zola Moukoko on trial during the last three weeks.
Moukoko joined The Bairns' pre-season trip to Czech Republic and is waiting to see if he will be offered a deal by Falkirk.
The midfielder would likely face stiff competition from player-coach Russell Latapy for a place in the squad, should the Scottish First Division champions decide to keep him.
