Torquay United have agreed terms with former Dundee United keeper Paul Jarvie.Torquay United have agreed a deal with former Dundee United goalkeeper Paul Jarvie.
The 22-year-old is looking for a new club following his release from The Terrors earlier this week.
Jarvie had a brief trial with League One side Bristol City before making his way to Plainmoor for a similar run-out with Leroy Rosenior's side on Thursday.
The Gulls have agreed non-contract terms with the Aberdeen-born custodian before obtaining international clearance for the Scot ahead of Saturday's home match with Doncaster Rovers.
Jarvie joins on-loan keeper Phil Barnes from Sheffield United in resolving Torquay's short-term custodial crisis.
"Paul has played 10 times for Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League this season," Rosenior said.
"It shows his enthusiasm that he is willing to come down here and give it a go.
"Torquay is a long way from Scotland, but that tells me a lot about the player and his desire to play."
The Gulls were left short in the keeper department late last month after Icelandic custodian Olafur Gottskalksson went AWOL a week ago Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Dundee United have confirmed that Scot Paterson has joined Partick Thistle on loan.
