Former Bristol City left back Mickey Bell has signed for League One rivals Port Vale.Mickey Bell has finally signed for Port Vale after joining the League One club for pre-season training.
The 33-year-old had been looking for pastures new after ending his eight-year spell with Bristol City at the season's end.
Bell joins former Ashton Gate team-mates Tony Dinning, Lee Matthews and Robin Hulbert at Vale Park.
The former Northampton Town and Wycombe Wanderers left back was pleased with his move to the Potteries outfit.
"When I first came up, I had a look around and got a feel for the place and having trained with the lads and played a few games, I made up my mind," Bell told the club's official website.
"I would be lying if I said the fact I knew a few of the lads wasn't a factor.
"To be fair, the rest of the lads have been brilliant and have made me feel welcome and I am really pleased to have sorted everything out."
