Blackpool manager Simon Grayson failed to sign two more players on Tuesday.Blackpool manager Simon Grayson failed in his attempt to add two players to his Bloomfield Road squad earlier this week.
The League One club brought in a number of new faces during the January transfer window, as the Lancashire outfit try and pull away from relegation trouble.
Grayson missed out on Bristol City's Australian international Luke Wilkshire and highly-rated Morecambe striker Danny Carlton.
Former Middlesbrough man Wilkshire was offered the chance to find a new club before the transfer window ended on Tuesday.
The winger was keen to improve his chances of making Guus Hiddink's SocceRoos squad for this summer's World Cup finals in Germany by finding a club that could offer him regular first-team football.
The Seasiders made a move for the 24-year-old, but Wilkshire was not keen on a switch to Grayson's side.
"Blackpool are one of our rivals at the moment and after speaking to Luke, he certainly didn't want to move to Blackpool," Robins boss Gary Johnson was quoted as saying in The Gazette.
A move for Morecambe striker Carlton also failed to materialise after the Nationwide Conference club could not find a suitable replacement, despite The Shrimps agreeing a fee with Blackpool for the 22-year-old.
